From 1600-1900CE Muslim and Amercican slavery was a popular. The institution of slavery on society globally has a social, economic, and political effect on history.
The social aspect of slavery for the the Americans was cruel, but for the Muslims they were treated better than the American slaves. According to Document 6,the American slaves were "emanciated" and worked to death but the owners didn't care. In Document 9, the punishment was the lost of a foot, burning them from head to toe, and whipped then cover the scars with salt. The Muslims slaves were proud slaves their masters praised them they had good clothing, well fed,and happy. The Muslims slaves are honered only to their master based on Doccument8 The Muslim owner that that it was bad to beat on their slaves, they treated their with love an care.Based on Document 2 the Muslim slavery origin is unbelief.
Economically slavery was good and sufficient for American Slavery rather than Muslim slavery. The American slaves was used to make money for the plantation owners. In Document 6,the slave owner only used the slaves to grow cash crops such as sugar and coffee "recovered the capital employed in the purchase, but also made a considerabl profit." The owner of American slaves buy them because it reduce the work for working on that huge plantation. In Document 8, trying to ban Muslim slavery will raise the cost on slaves.According to Document 8,the Muslims say if you beat the slave it decreases their value.
Slavery has made a huge impact on political issues. Muslim slavery wasn't emancipated until the 20th century based on Document 1.In Document5 the Holy Law permits slavery for the Muslims. The last country in the Americas to get emancipated was Brazil in 1888 based on Document 1.The earliest slavery was emancipated in the Americas was 1794.
American and Muslim slavery has a positive and negative effect on the world socially, economically, and politically. We should cherish the freedom because without slavery I don't know how the world would be right now.
